Many are willing to pay 3% toward down payment assistance or anything you want like a privacy fence, refrigerator, washer/dryer. Additionally they will pay up to 3% of your closing costs for a total of 6% in concessions – the maximum allowed on most government loans. Not all builders will do this – but many will.
